The Lawrence City Commission voted unanimously early Wednesday morning, after more than four hours of public comment and general discussion, to adopt on first reading the Lawrence Community Shelter's application for a special use permit for the Franklin Park Circle site. All five commissioners agreed that the legalities and intricacies of the ordinance would need to be covered at next Tuesday's meeting. |
