The Wichita Eagle reports that Ex-kansas coach Mangino will be getting a $3 million dollar settlement as a result of an agreement reached by Mangino and the University of Kansas. The settlement agreement covers more then just a dollar amount.

 With a new semester will come a new University of Kansas football coach. The formal press conference takes place today at 11:00am, but it is confirmed that coach Turner Gill accepted the head coaching job, as reported by The University at Buffalo's UB Reporter. Gills history at Buffalo is impressive. He led UB to the first Division 1 conference championship and bown appears in the program's history. Under his coaching most of the schools offensive records have been broken. |

The Granada Theater in downtown Lawrence, Kansas experienced more then just the boom, boom, boom of the music's beat early Sunday morning. WIBW reports that several shots were fired in response to a "brawl" that occurred just outside the doors of the Granada around 2:00am. The news team further reported that one individual was shot and taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with a non-life threatening wound. |
