It’s early in the season, but Santa has a lot of names to review. Therefore, he’s getting an early start in the area. He is making the rounds and asking kids what they want for Christmas. Here is a short list of some of the places you can see Santa and make a Christmas wish whether you be 8 or 80! Friday November 27, 2009
Lawrence – Santa is a true fan of the Lawrence Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony. In true Santa fashion, his arrival is expected to create some excitement. He is expected to arrive near Weaver’s Department Store in downtown Lawrence around 6:00 pm. That would be just in time to visit with some children before bedtime. Saturday December 5, 2009
Baldwin City – Santa Claus is rumored to be sneaking into the area sometime Saturday morning at the Baldwin Elementary School Intermediate Center.
Eudora – If you live near Eudora, you can get on Santa’s lap by stopping by the Eudora City Hall on Saturday afternoon. Lawrence – It seems that everyone loves a parade and Santa is no exception. Be sure to stop by downtown Lawrence for The Lawrence Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade. It starts at 11:00 along downtown Massachusetts Street and features 100 horse-drawn carriages. Santa is expected to be enjoying a ride, so keep an eye out! |
