I recently had the unfortunate experience of spending several days at a hospital attending the death of my grandmother. It was an unfortunate situation. As a member of the family who had been asked to participate in the dying process, the first thing that I did upon entering the hospital was educate myself on her current status.
I wanted to know what treatments were being provided. What drugs had been prescribed and what tests had been done. It seemed to me that the easiest way to do this was to review her chart.

Reading about the “credit crunch” I can’t help but wonder why banks across America are acting to put the economy into recession. 12 months ago getting a business loan to deliver a contract was a piece of cake. Pick up the phone, send a copy of the contract, and you’d have access to the funds necessary to complete the job.

Today the airwaves are full of stories about the demise of Municipal WiFi. Earthlink’s failure to complete its Philadelphia project is being haled as the death knell of the technology – a victory for the naysayers and luddites.
What reporters are not writing about is the other side of this story, the hundreds of communities in which networks are living up to their potential. Here in Lawrence, Kansas home of the 100,000 raving Jayhawk fans, the municipal WiFi network is not only healthy - it’s thriving.

It is very rare that my days are not completely filled. From the first second I wake up until I pass out at night, life seems to go at a tremendous pace. I am always amazed at statistics that show Americans watching an average of 4 hours of TV each day, I respond "Where do they find the time?". Today and yesterday were no different. Yesterday I started off meeting with another entrepreneur about acquiring/building a new magazine for Free Planet. After that I worked on the business plan for an hour to reflect what we are doing with Larryville.com. It is going to be Soooooo cool when it is done. Maybe we can win a Whirled Company award. |
